BS7858: 1996 Code of practice for security screening of personnel employed in a security environment.

Fundamentally, compliance with BS7858 ensures that every stage of the application process is predetermined by this Standard.
BS7858 also sets down procedures and guidelines for the recording and storage of files; specific formats for forms and detailed provision for the tracking of correspondence.
